CARMAnation is a peer-to-peer sharing community that is making parking more convenient and affordable
Founded in January 2013 and based in San Francisco, California, CARMAnation is a peer-to-peer sharing community that is making parking more convenient and affordable. Parking is one of the most vexed commodities in modern American life. A nation of about 300 million citizens with 255 million registered cars has as many as 800 million parking spaces, but not enough at the right place at the right time at a fair price. We created a simple way to make money while helping to solve a growing problem in our cities that affect us on a daily basis. The workings are simple: offer your spot free, name your own price, or offer it in exchange for a donation towards your favorite charity organization.
As CEO, Ilya drives the company's vision and growth, focusing always on improving the user experience. Ilya values concepts that simplify life and have a positive Impact on society, which is why he founded CARMAnation. He seems to never be able to turn his brain "off", constantly thinking and trying to achieve just a little bit more everyday.
Ashley brings to the family a public relations background, having worked with and help grow some of San Francisco's most prominent technology start-ups. She is in charge of communications and works alongside Ilya to strategize and build CARMAnation.
Ilya adopted Kona when he was 11 weeks old. Kona is an Australian Shepherd/ Lab Mix. At the age of 5 years old he finally started to listen and has thus achieved the status of "Chief of Staff".
